Wayne is a frequent speaker and writer on fundraising, nonprofit marketing and corporate and donor relations. His articles appear in Planned Giving Today and he is a frequent contributor to Crescendo Interactive. His writing is used each year by hundreds of charities and he has spoken to tens of thousands of fundraisers, marketers and donors. He is the former president of the Virginia Gift Planning Council and has taught fundraising and donor relations at the University of Richmond.

An accomplished fundraiser, having raised millions of dollars in major and planned gifts, as well as annual fund appeals; Wayne has shared his experience with International AFP Conferences in Atlanta, Dallas and New Orleans, and to Practical Planned Giving Conferences in Orlando, Chicago and San Diego.

Prior to his work as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and the University of Richmond, Wayne was a litigation attorney, specializing in corporate and contract law. Before law school, Wayne was a journalist producing and anchoring television and radio broadcasts.
